Holding rally sans nod: Hardik booked again

| | GANDHINAGAR:

Pro-quota stir leader and convener of Patidar Anamat Andolan Samiti (PAAS) Hardik Patel who had already spent over seven months inside the jail and released on bail couple of months back, again booked at Rajkot for addressing a public rally without permission.

Rajkot collector PR Jani filed a case against the 24-year-old PAAS leader under Indian Penal Code’s sections 188 for defying public order and 143 and 145 related to unlawful Assembly. Patel held a rally at Nana Mava area of Rajkot on Wednesday. Apart from Hardik, a complaint was filed against his close aide Tushar Nandadi.

On November 18, six accomplices including Dinesh Bambhania were booked for similar rally without permission near the state capital Gandhinagar. Sources in the Rajkot collectorate said that during election code-of-conduct permission as per a given procedure needed to be followed and the PAAS convener didn’t adhered to that. It is worth mentioning that despite he had been booked, Hardik is all set to address a similar rally at Surat on Sunday.
