InventHelp, founded in 1984 in Pittsburgh, is attempting to submit this idea, the NASAL CANNULA RELIEF STRAP to applicable companies for their consideration.

PITTSBURGH (PRWEB) December 02, 2017

"My uncle was on oxygen for years, and the tubing from his nasal cannula actually began to cut his ear off," said an inventor from Hot Springs, N.C. "The doctor told me that this was a common problem for many patients. I came up with this idea to relieve the pain and discomfort. Also, my uncle would come back from mealtime or after meeting with a doctor, and his regulator would have been bumped during transport, which changed the setting. My invention idea would ensure that the caregiver could see what the correct regulator setting was so that it could be easily reset."

He developed the NASEL CANULA RELIEF STRAP to keep the cannula tubing up and off the ears. This alleviates irritation and discomfort. It also helps to prevent skin infections. The unit makes wearing a nasal cannula more comfortable and convenient. It is designed to reduce the incidence of MRSA. Furthermore, it records the oxygen regulator setting in case it's bumped and a quick reference is needed. Overall, the invention provides added peace of mind.

The original design was submitted to the Charlotte office of InventHelp. It is currently available for licensing or sale to manufacturers or marketers.
