Meteorological department eyeing Ochki cyclone trail

PANAJI: The severe cyclonic storm (Ockhi) over Lakshadweep area worsened into a very severe cyclonic storm on Friday and is likely to intensify further during next 24 hours, but Goa faces hardly any threat from its fury, barring the loss of morning chill.

"We will have to monitor how close it moves towards Goa after Saturday. If it moves closer than expected, the sea condition may change and it may become a little rough with strong winds," M L Sahu, director, IMD, Goa said.TNN
