(MENAFN) The Turkish-Iranian trader making a testimony in a US trial of a banker breaching US sanctions on Iran is facing an order by Turkish prosecutors for his assets to be seized.

A New York court was informed by the witness Reza Zarrab that Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan had accepted sanctions-breaking deals.

However, claims of Turkey violating US sanctions against Iran were rejected by the president while relations among Ankara and Washington have been damaged due to the case.
