Aaron Boone is going to be the next manager of the New York Yankees, as first reported by the New York Daily News.

Boone is a former Yankees player who has worked as an on-air analyst for ESPN since 2010.

Five other candidates were interviewed for the job, including the other finalist, San Francisco Giants bench coach Hensley Meulens.
