(MENAFN) Early Saturday, passage of the Senate Republicans tax plan was hailed by President Trump as he expressed his anticipation to sign a final bill prior to the coming of Christmas.

A little while before 3am, the president posted a tweet that read "we are one step closer to delivering MASSIVE tax cuts for working families across America, look forward to signing a final bill before Christmas!"

Granting Republicans a legislative victory, senators voted 51-49 along party lines so as to pass the tax overhaul Saturday soon before 2am.
