Chandigarh: Days after Yamunanagar police arrested a girl student for extorting money in a honey trap case, Fatehabad police have arrested four persons, including two women, in a similar crime. The court on Friday sent them to judicial custody.

The accused were booked in an extortion case registered at Fatehabad City police station on the complaint of one Sudhir Kumar, a resident of Dhangar Colony. According to information, one of the women had called Sudhir last week to a residential area of the town. The woman had later started threatening Sudhir with a frame-up in a rape case and demanding Rs 5 lakh.

Fatehabad deputy superintendent of police (DSP) Ravinder Tomar told media persons on Friday that a police party had raided a house in Kirti Nagar area on Thursday night. The raid was conducted after Sudhir told them about his experience with the woman. He accused the woman and her associates of snatching his mobile phone, motorcycle, wallet and other things.
