One of the candidates for the opener’s slot is Murali Vijay who made a comeback to the playing line-up in the second Test match after Shikhar Dhawan was released from the team due to personal reasons.
Vijay who scored a century on comeback in Nagpur, repeated the same feat in New Delhi and completed his 11th Test century without any trouble whilst in the company of the run-machine and his captain Virat Kohli.
But unlike Kohli’s generally more muted celebrations, Vijay’s was more animated wherein he broke into an impromptu jig much to the delight of the fans. That wasn’t all as captain Kohli, always up for a light moment, joined in the celebrations too and both added to the entertainment quotient by performing the ‘dab’.

India who lead the three match Test series 1-0, will look to wrap up the final match as fast as possible and complete the record equaling ninth series without too much ado.
After this series the Kohli-led India will travel to South Africa for what is expected to be a testing series.
Before the start of the Sri Lanka series, the Indian team had requested for playing conditions that would be similar to those in South Africa – but irrespective of the changes, the batting prowess has hardly been affected.
