Metro pushes riders to opt for smart cards
Hyderabad commuters can choose between two modes of payment while travelling by Metro, the Contactless Smart Token or the smartcard nicknamed ‘Nebula’.  The HMRL officials recommend the commuters to opt for the smart card for a hassle-free ride. The CST has a media chip integrated inside the token and can be purchased at any Ticket Office Machine, Ticket Vending Machine or at the Portable Ticket Analyser  located at station entries and even at the ticketing offices. The token will be read at the entry and captured at exit gates. The Nebula smart card looks similar to a debit or credit card and can act as a virtual wallet for metro travel expenses. The smart cards can be purchased from any ticketing office at the stations and they can be recharged at any stations.
