

World Leaders Greet UAE President on 46th National Day

Abu Dhabi: United Arab Emirates President Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan has received congratulatory messages from world leaders on the occasion of the country's 46th National Day on Saturday.
Saudi Arabia's King Salman bin Abdul Aziz Al Saud, Kuwait Emir Sabah Al Ahmad Al Jaber Al Sabah, Egypt's President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi, US President Donald Trump and Chinese leader Xi Jinping were among those who sent greetings.
The President's Representative Sultan bin Zayed Al Nahyan said that the national occasion, which marks the Union of the Emirates, is a "defining moment in the history of the state and an embodiment of unity and cohesion between the leadership and the people".
Ruler of Ras al-Khaimah Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi said: "When we celebrate the UAE's 46th National Day, we should be proud of the UAE experience, as it is one the most successful experiences in union in modern times.
"As we celebrate the event, we should draw attention to the accomplishments, progress and development achieved in the trade, economic, urban, building and tourist sectors. We also feel proud while speaking about the building and training of our human resources."
He said "Emiratis provide a role model in the solidarity witnessed in our country, in support of the march of development and progress, and to address obstacles and challenges and preserve gains and achievements".
Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the Ruler's Representative in Al Dhafra Region said: "The 2nd of December will remain a shining light in our history and an occasion to continue our journey of prosperity and development while renewing our pledge of loyalty. It is a glorious day on which we have the right to be proud of living each day and the passing of the years."
