PURNIA: Four people, including a three-year-old girl, were killed and two others injured when their car collided with a truck on Saturday, police said.
The accident took place on a state highway close to Parasmani village under the Sarsi police station area when the car was going to Biratnagar in Nepal from Bhagalpur district.
The deceased were identified as Sudhir Mandal, his wife Rekha Sinha and their three-year-old granddaughter Tinku Kumari, besides the driver of the car Abhay Kumar. The bodies have been sent for postmortem.
Two other occupants of the car suffered injuries and were sent to the Purnia sadar hospital.
The truck driver ran away from the spot along with the vehicle. PTI
