2 Indians held with 20 gold bars

Benapole Customs Intelligence detained two alleged Indian gold smuggler with 20 gold bars, worth Tk 1 crore, at Benapole international check post under Benapole Port Police Station yesterday morning.

Abdus Sadek, deputy commissioner, Benapole Customs Intelligence, said acting on a tip-off, the officials arrested Nasirul Haque, 38, and Sanjib Varma, 36, both residents of Ikbal Nagar in Delhi, with the gold bars. A case was filed.
