Advani opens laser show at dattapeetha ashram

MYSURU: Senior BJP leader and former deputy prime minister L K Advani inaugurated a laser show on the 41-foot monolithic statue of Hanuman at the Sri Ganapathi Sachindananda Ashram on Friday.
Advani who flew in from Delhi spent more than two hours at the ashram and had a chat with Ganapathi Sachidananda Swamiji at its lush green garden.

Cloudy weather and rains caused by cyclone Ockhi did not stop devotees from turning up in good numbers at the function organised on occasion of Hanuman Jayanti. The devotees were thrilled to watch worshipping of Hanuman on the projection, as the event blended ancient tradition and sophisticated technology.As Advani switched on the laser show, devoted raised the slogan ‘Jai Hanuman’.  
Devotees from across the country and abroad captured three-dimensional images on computers. In the show, Hanuman develops two additional hands which tear into his chest where Ram and Sita can be seen. It is designed by Mani Shankar .

Addressing the devotees, Advani said Bhagavadgeeta signifies the power of Hinduism that preaches tolerance, religious values. He said every human being should develop brotherhood which is above caste, creed and religion.Earlier, Advani was received by MP Pratap Simha and others at Mysuru Airport.
Advani’s passion for Bonsai plants

Advani shared his passion for Bonsai plant and took note of the collections exhibited at the Ganapathi Ashram.He recalled his visits to the Ashram in 1984  and 1994 with former president Venkataraman.
The swamiji also presented photographs of Advani’s previous visits.
