Arsenal may have had the lion’s share of possession throughout the match but Manchester United were solid in defence and clinical on the counter. It is the first win for Manchester United at the Emirates stadium in the post Sir Alex Ferguson-era but Paul Pogba’s red card in the end has left a stain on it. Pogba, who set up the third goal scored by Jesse Lingard, ended up stepping on Hector Bellerin’s calf dangerously. It was not malicious but there is no question that it was a straight red. He was applauding sarcastically while walking away which might come back to bite him if the FA ponders on it.
