Is the BBC going to make a women’s Match of the Day?
A WOMEN’S Match of The Day should be launched by the BBC, according to pundit Jermaine Jenas.

The weekly football highlights show attracts millions of viewers every weekend as men’s games are re-played and discussed.
However, a well-known pundit has claimed the Beeb must now make a women’s version to promote the successes of females in the sport.
Former Nottingham Forest and Spurs midfielder Jermaine Jenas told The Sun: “They deserve their own Match of the Day. The women’s game has made huge strides — and rightly so.
“I went to the Women’s Euros in Holland and spent a lot of time watching the game. The growth and interest is there and the teams are starting to pack out stadiums.
“The game is becoming more interesting and the standard of play is becoming a lot better.”

However, Jenas said it deserves much more coverage.
The calls were welcomed online by a handful of people, but there was little mention of it.
One woman said: “Great! High time for this.”
And others said there is an issue which must be addressed around mens and women’s football.
One man wrote: “If you're naïve enough to think women don't get crap from men, just browse the comments on Match of the Day posts on Facebook about women's football. I
“It’s horrendous and sickening.”

Jenas played for Nottingham Forest, Spurs, Newcastle, Aston Villa and QPR.
He said: “There are moments when I miss the smell of the grass and being out on the pitch with the lads.
“But right now I’m focused on my TV career."
The BBC refused to comment.
