Krantidhara Sahitya Ratna Award conferred on veteran writer Arun Verma

Ujjain : Veteran writer Dr Arun Verma, who participated in the Literature Festival held at IIMT University Complex in Meerut was awarded the ‘Krantidhara Sahitya Ratna Award’ at the closing ceremony.

More than 100 writers from India and 50 writers of Nepal participated in this event.  Representatives from Canada, USA, UK and Bhutan were also present. Apart from seminars, book exhibitions, poet conferences and mushairas etc were also organised in the ceremony. All the representatives present in the ceremony were also honoured by the writers. Governor Shri Shriram Naik who had inaugurated the ceremony, presented a copy of his book ‘Charaiveti Charaiveti’.

Two books were also released during the closing ceremony honouring the writers. On this occasion Dr Yogendranath Sharma, former member of Sahitya Academy, Chancellor of IIMT University, Prof Yogesh Mohan Gupta, senior song writer Dnyanesh Hariyat, deputy general manager, State Bank of India, AK Harman, Green Care Society, Harman Singh of Chandigarh, Dr Vijay Pandit of Meerut Literature Festival, Anita Ariyal of Indo-Nepal Literature Festival, Nepali Literature Basant Officer, Meenakshi Sharma, editor of Kavikumbh and Ranjita Singh were present. The guests honoured Dr Arun Verma with a memento.
