(MENAFN - Tribal News Network) PESHAWAR: Governor Iqbal Zafar Jhagra on Saturday directed the concerned quarters to expedite implementation work on Fata Reforms so that the deprived areas could be bring into mainstream.

The directions were issued here at a meeting headed by the governor at Governor House Peshawar where head of Fata Reforms Committee Sartaj Aziz, Additional Chief Secretary Fata Sikanadar Qayyum and others were present.

The governor was briefed about the progress on implementation of the reforms, said a statement issued later by the Governor House. It said that recommendations were put forward how to bring Fata on par with the developed areas of the country.

The governor said that the federal government was making all out efforts to strengthen the socio-economic basis of Fata and provide basic facilities to the tribal people. He said that no stone would be left unturned to remove sense of deprivation of tribal people.
