Himalaya International Ltd today said its board will next week consider change of the name of the company to Himalaya Food Company Ltd or Himalaya Pure Foods Company Ltd.
"The board of directors meeting will be held on December 8..to consider...change of name of the company to Himalaya Food Company Ltd or Himalaya Pure Foods Company Ltd or any similar name...," the company said in a BSE filing.
The change of name is proposed to give better clarity to the investors and the customers about the activity of the company which is now changing to the fast moving consumer goods, it said.
The board will also consider the progress of franchisee business model and changing the current consignee sales to direct sales through company-owned office in the US for better compliance to accounting norms.
