Federer is back at the top of his game, winning two Grand Slams in 2017 and is back at No 2 in the ATP rankings.

It was a miraculous turn around for the 36-year-old with the Australian Open success in January coming five years after his last Grand Slam title.

And Agassi says things are easy for the Swiss maestro - because of his style of play and finesse on the court.

“Federer is unique,” Agassi said recently in an interview with Le Matin.

“In everything: greatness, precision, easiness. He plays tennis in a different way than others.

"When I say easiness, don't misunderstand me: it's not easy.

“But it seems Federer controls everything, has a solution for any issue.

“With so many options, he has the power to avoid the physical intimidation that many current players use.

“He knows that he can play elegantly, smartly, handle his efforts, take his time to get his injuries healed, learn new things and keep investing in his progresses.

“We can't deny that Federer will mark the sport forever.”

Federer was shocked in London last month, losing in the ATP Tour Finals semi-final against David Goffin.

But he will be back at the turn of the year in preparation for the Australian Open - which he will start as favourite for.

He beat Rafael Nadal in the final earlier this year and will be looking to assert his authority on the hard court surface again.
