The featurette lifts the lid on the gruelling process the actors had to go for in order to be ready for some of the most intense scenes in Episode 8: The Last Jedi.

In addition to Ridley (Rey) and Boyega (Finn), we also see Gwendoline Christie (Captain Phasma), Adam Driver (Kylo Ren) and Kelly Marie Tran (Rose) in training.

Rian Johnson teased: “Daisy is training for a moment where she is on the islands, she has a moment to herself and she’s practising with her staff.

“Then she realises, ‘why am I wasting my time practising with a staff,  I have Luke Skywalker’s lightsaber in my satchel.

“Its just working out the moves for that.”

Christie admitted: “This is the hardest physical thing I’ve done yet - the suit can be very restrictive just to move in, just to walk in.”

Driver added: ”It’s rigorous, in a great way.

“You can’t half-ass it.”

The Last Jedi is now less than two weeks away from release in the UK, where it is expected to land with an enormous opening box office haul.

Mark Hamill, Carrie Fisher, Laura Dern, Oscar Isaac and Benicio Del Torro are also among the stars.
