BHEL’s quality month concludes

The Closing ceremony of the Quality Month organised by BHEL, Bhopal was held on Thursday at BHEL Cultural Hall, Piplani. On this occasion DK Thakur (Executive Director) BHEL Bhopal, MS Kinra General Manager (Quality & HR), M Halder General Manager (Feeders, WE&CS, MOD), all general managers, senior officials of Quality Division, Vendor, Customer, Trade Union Representatives and employees in large number were present.

Thakur highlighting the importance of quality said that the products manufactured at Bhopal unit holds a unique identity in the market and the customer on receiving the products of BHEL make remain assured of the quality of the product. He congratulated the employees for Bhopal unit receiving the ‘Best Productive Unit of the Year award’ across the corporation level, further urging the employees to maintain the position in the future.

He said that the co-operation of the vendor and customer is important in maintaining the quality of the product saying their contribution to be vital in this area.

Thakur appreciated the Quality Department’s initiatives of sharing the report of the Root Cause Analysis with all the employees. The production status of the unit is going on as per the slated target and there are sufficient orders for the year 2017-18. “We all have to work with full commitment and dedication in the remaining four months for achieving the target turnover,” Thakur.

Earlier, Kinra welcoming all the guests informed the gathering of the objective of the Quality month and various competitions organised under the month. He said that we all should strive for achieving quality at any cost and it is our individual responsibility, not to compromise with quality in any situation. Quality begins with every individual and must not be mixed as a group activity, said Kinra.

On this occasion, winners of the competitions held during the Quality month were awarded and vendors arriving from different parts of the country were also honoured.

Parul Shrivastava and Neetu Dhamija coordinated the programme. Later, AK Chaturvedi, AGM (QCS) proposing the vote of thanks briefed the gathering about the genesis of the Quality Month.
