Can the State government be charged for deaths directly caused by air pollution? “I don’t deny that pollution is a serious problem. But we must look within as well. If you start having murder cases against states, then the states will not be able to take measures to check the problem.”

Ravi Shankar Prasad is now fielding questions from CNN-News18 Executive Editor Bhupendra Chaubey. The minister bats for a strong data protection law. "We will make a data protection law that will become a beacon for the world," he says.

Mukesh Ambani talks about the generational gap. “I would never have dared to tell my father ‘Dad, you don’t get it’. This generation is different. I get a lot of it from my children. My father always treated me as a friend.”

Asked how important money is to him being India's richest man, Mukesh Ambani says money is not important, but resources are. “I don’t carry money. I don’t even have a credit card. Somebody else always pays for me”

At the HT Leadership Summit partnered by CNN-News18, former US president Barack Obama also weighed in on the Narendra Modi vs Manmohan Singh debate, saying both had India-US relations in mind.

Asked how soon he expects Jio to call a profit, Mukesh Ambani says, “Jio's result are announced every quarter. I don’t want to predict but we are ahead of our schedule.”
