(MENAFN - Tribal News Network) BANNU: Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) chief Maulana Fazlur Rahman on Thursday warned the federal government against merger of Fata with Khyber Pakhunkhwa without taking its people into confidence.

The JUI-F chief was addressing party workers at Seerat-e-Mustafa Conference held here.

Maulana Fazl said that some vested interest have been trying to merger Fata with KP to loot the mines and minerals in its mountains. 'Those who are demanding KP-Fata merger where they were 60 years ago to raise voice for rights of its people,' he said.

He added that he would never accept Fata-KP merger and demanded that only people of Fata would decide their future.
