Justice League SHOCK: Armie Hammer was originally cast as ‘DERANGED’ Batman
JUSTICE LEAGUE Batman was originally going to be played by Green Lantern favourite Armie Hammer in a “dark and deranged” performance.
A decade ago Mad Max: Fury Road director was set to helm Justice League: Mortal.
Hammer, then just 21-years-old was cast as Batman, but the project was eventually cancelled following the 2007 writers’ strike and financial complications.
Now the actor, who is favoured by many fans to join the DC Extended Universe as Green Lantern, has revealed what his Justice League Batman would have been like.
Speaking with MTV’s Happy Sad Confused podcast, the star said: “It was darker. It's funny, it was pre-Christian Bale.”

Hammer continued: “But the Christian Bale Batman had a lot more in common with it than any of the previous ones, whether it be the George Clooney, the Michael Keaton, all those, which were almost campy.
“This was one about a guy who is severely, psychologically, almost deranged.
“It was dark and it was really intense and this guy had major trust issues, the whole thing. It was a great concept and a really cool idea.”

However a source claims Warner Bros isn’t entirely sold on the idea yet.
Meanwhile Jeffrey Dean Morgan is expected to play an alternate Batman in Flashpoint, where Bruce Wayne’s father Thomas becomes the Dark Knight.
