Rupinderpal takes a lot of time to make the drag flick. India get another penalty corner, but India again fail to convert. This problem keeps haunting the Indians, as always.

India make early in roads. That was a good spin by Akashdeep, but no one there to collect the ball cleanly.

We are nearing the end of 1st half. It has been a good comeback by Australia. After a slow start they have certainly picked up the pace. Quarter three is India's strength, and they need to score big in that.

Mandeep Singh strikes. There were a lot of vacant spots for Manpreet to pass. And he did it perfectly. Mandeep flips and takes a backhand shot to hit the goal. It's 1-0 for India

India getting into great formation. Everyone was in position to score. But somehow Akashdeep managed to miss this one again

Attackers need to finish the job. Gurjant failed to close two goals. Let's see how he fares in the second quarter.

End of an eventful quarter one. That was some brilliant stuff by the Indians for creating some chances. But credit to the Aussie defence to not concede a goal 

Akashdeep gets a long ball from Rupinderpal. But that was some great defending on Australia's part. Just one man on the defence and he prevents the Indian from even attempting the goal.

That's a save. Good escape for the India. But danger is still lurking, with the ball still in India's half. 

And that's a penalty corner for the Aussies. Harmanpreet foots the ball inside the box. This could be trouble for India.

Australia will look for penalty corners inside the Indian box. But till now the Indian defenders have kept the Aussies quiet. 

India has maintained exceptional possession of 59-41. They have shown a lot of control, to go with attack. 

New coach Sjoerd Marijne certainly favours the youngsters. This team has an average age of 23.5.  

The penalty corner goes waste. Nothing spectacular about the shot taken by the Indians. This will surely go down as a chance missed.

And the match starts. India on the attack in the early minute. That's a penetration from the attackers as Chinglesana Singh takes a backhand shot. That was really close.

In the last 10 matches against Australia, India has just won 2 matches, while their opponents have won 7.

This tournament will be a good preparation for the Indians before the World Cup in 2018, as India fares without the seasoned Sardar Singh.
