Chelsea news: Antonio Conte asked about January transfer plans - here's what he said
CHELSEA boss Antonio Conte has refused to reveal whether he's planning to sell any Stamford Bridge stars when the transfer window opens.
The Blues are expected to splash the cash next month as they look to close the gap on Premier League leaders Manchester City.
There are likely to be a number of exits too and a cluster of first-team squad members have been linked with moves away from west London.
David Luiz is the most prominent of those, with Manchester United, Barcelona and Real Madrid credited with interest in the Brazilian.
Speaking ahead of tomorrow's clash with Newcastle United though, Conte was cagey when asked about players potentially leaving Chelsea in January.
It is not right
"I think this moment, it is very early to talk about this topic," he said.
"It is not right, we are in December and we have one month to play and it is very important to be focused and go game by game and do our best.
"Then the transfer market, we can start to speak about this."
Conte went on to discuss speculation surrounding Luiz’s future.
"I must be honest I don’t read it," he added.

"I don’t have time to read because we are playing every three days.
"My focus is on the pitch and prepare the team in the right way.
"As you know this is speculation in this period.
"We pass from my sacking to Real Madrid, we are very fast to pass these situations.
"My focus is on Chelsea and I am totally committed to Chelsea and the players."
