Jesus Vallejo joined Real Madrid in 2015 from Real Zaragoza but has never got a look in at the Bernabeu.

The 20-year-old defender has spent the last two seasons on loan with his former side Zaragoza and Eintracht Frankfurt.

And according to reports in Italy, he could be set for a third spell away from the club in January with Inter Milan.

Website CalcioMercato claim Inter are keen to bring in a centre-half to act as cover for the remainder of the season and a deal would suit both sides.

Vallejo is reportedly frustrated by his lack of opportunities under Zinedine Zidane this season.

And a temporary switch to the San Siro could work out well as Real are reportedly not prepared to allow him to leave on a permanent basis.

Inter are also not in a position to sign any more players, having pushed their Financial Fair Play parameters to the max in the summer.

Vallejo is under contract at the Bernabeu until 2021 but has made just three appearances for the club since joining two years ago.

And speaking in the summer he raised concerns about his future, admitting he did not know Real’s plans of him long term.

“The truth is I do not know anything about my future yet,” he said.

"I prefer to focus on the day to day, and keep improving. They told me that when they took the decision, they would talk with me.

“It is not up to me to keep insisting. Now I am focused just on the national team, because to play a Euros is a unique opportunity."
