Leeds vs Aston Villa: Thomas Christiansen's attacking stars could cause problems for Villa

That is according to Championship pundit Andy Hinchcliffe, who believes attacking trio Samuel Saiz, Pablo Hernandez and Ezgjan Alioski could do serious damage against Villa’s defence.

Leeds have won two of their last three games to bring an end to their poor form, which saw them slide down the Championship table.

They have their work cut out against fellow promotion hopefuls Villa, who have won nine of their last 12 games.

But Hinchcliffe believes John Terry’s absence should give Leeds’ forward players hope.

Their creative players - Saiz, Hernandez and Alioski - are playing well and scoring goals but working very hard for the team

Andy Hinchcliffe

“[Leeds] turned a bit of a corner against ,” he said on EFL Matters. “They were outstanding, that is really their benchmark.

“They played well against Barnsley, they lost at but Wolves are flying.

“They’ve won two of the last three so they’ve stopped the rot.

Andy Hinchcliffe delivered his comments on EFL Matters

“They look more of a team now Leeds. Something seems to have clicked so it’s going to be a test for Aston Villa.

“If they’re defensively maybe short I think could cause them problems.”

Leeds will be without winger Stuart Dallas (ankle) and Pierre-Michel Lasogga (leg) while midfielder Eunan O’Kane is a doubt (hip).

In addition to Terry (broken metatarsal), Villa will also be without strikers Jonathan Kodjia (ankle) and Scott Hogan (stomach).
