DHAKA: Two people were killed being crushed under the wheels of trains in separate places in the capital on Friday morning (Dec 1).
The identities of the deceased could not be known till filling the report.
Dhaka railway police station assistant sub-inspector (ASI) Md Rabiullah said, in one incident, a man, aged around 40, was crushed by Chittagong-bound ‘Sonar Bangla’ train in Khilkhet rail gate area while he was crossing rail tracks.
On the other hand, another man, aged around 25, was crushed under a Sirajganj-bound train in airport railway station area.
Effort to identify the bodies is underway. In the meantime, the bodies were sent to Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) morgue for autopsy, he added.
