Coronation Street fans were left floored earlier this year when Sarah Louise Platt (Tina O'Brien) announced that Bethany Platt (Lucy Fallon) had decided to stay in Milan.
The troubled teen took some time out after her horrific grooming ordeal, which saw Nathan Curtis (Chris Harper) jailed.
But in the first of tonight's double-bill, Bethany made her return to the famous cobbles.
"I missed you!" Sarah told Bethany, later promising they'd get a Chinese for dinner as it was her favourite.

Fans were equally thrilled to see her return, taking to Twitter to express their joy at one of the soap's most popular characters returning.
"I am so happy for double Coronation Street. Bethany returns home today, she's been gone for two months I love Lucy lots!" tweeted one fan.
"Yes, Bethany is back!" added another.
A third chipped in: "So happy Bethany returned tonight!"

Upon her return, Bethany was out to help long-term pal Mary Taylor (Patti Clare), who is currently struggling after she was banned from seeing her own grandson.
The loveable florist is currently under investigation by social services, after a doctor commented George only fell ill in Mary's care.
Giving her pal a hug, she insisted they went to the hospital to check on how he was.

However, while Bethany went to check, worried mother Angie Appleton (Victoria Ekanoye) spied Mary loitering in the car park, and hurriedly rang the police.
And there was bad news in store for Kate Connor (Faye Brookes) and Rana (Bhavna Limbachia) elsewhere in Coronation Street, when the pair's van broke down.
The couple embarked on a steamy make-out session, before they were interrupted.
