The trial court, in which two graft cases are being heard against BNP chief Khaleda Zia, cancelled her bail and issued arrest warrants on Thursday.
The court also fixed  December  5, 6 and 7  to start arguments in the Zia Orphanage and Zia Charitable Trust graft cases after closing  the self-defence statement delivery of  Khaleda.
Judge Dr Akhtaruzzaman of Special Court-5, specially made Ejlash on the play grounds of Alia Madrasa at Bakshi Bazar, passed the order as she did not show up at the court.
The former prime minister Khaleda's bail term was rescinded on Thursday.
On Thursday Khaleda's lawyer Adv Sanaullah Miah and Adv Ziauddin Zia submitted before the court that she would appear before court after 2:00pm as the leftist-party enforced a half-day hartal in the city on the day.
The ACC chief Prosecutor Mosharrof Hossain Kajol also supported the defence plea.
At that time the judge asked     the defence counsels, "I faced traffic jam nearly for an hour this morning. You came to the court, but she did not?"
Waiting for nearly an hour, the court at last cancelled her bail and issued warrants at 12:10pm.
Earlier on October 12, the same court cancelled her bail as she was in London. Nearly three months after she came to the country and got the bail on October 19 in the cases.
Former attorney general AJ Mohammad Ali and Joinal Abedin appeared for her.  The Zia Charitable Trust graft case was filed by the ACC in 2010 against the BNP chief and three others for embezzlement of Tk 31.5 million.
The Zia Orphanage Trust graft case was filed in 2008. The ACC case accuses Khaleda, her son Tarique Rahman and four others of embezzling Tk 21 million.
