Antonio Conte’s side will be desperate to secure three points over the Magpies as they look to close the gap on league leaders Manchester City. 

The likes of Eden Hazard, Cesar Azpilicueta and Gary Cahill all braved the cold during the session at Chelsea’s Cobham training ground.  

However, David Luiz was one again absent from the session as he recovers from a knee injury. 

The defender will not feature against Newcastle along with Charly Musonda who also has a knee problem. 

While Michy Batshuayi and the left-sided Kenedy have returned to training, it’s unclear whether they will be included in the squad for this weekend’s fixture.
