(MENAFN - Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) ROME, Dec 1 (KUNA) -- Kuwait's Ambassador to Italy Sheikh Ali Al-Sabah on Friday stressed the importance of supporting Kuwait's civil society organizations, mainly the youth ones, to take part in the international forums in order to boost Kuwait's status globally.

The ambassador made the statement during a meeting with vice-president of World Federation of Engineering Organizations (WFEO) Zainab Garashi and Kuwaiti engineer Jafar Sadeq at the embassy's headquarters in the Italian capital, the Kuwait Embassy in Rome said in a statement received by KUNA.

The envoy affirmed Kuwait's constant support for young people in different specializations to take part in the global organizations' activities willingly, it added.

He stated that Garashi reviewed her role at the federation, supported by her colleagues at the Kuwaiti Society of Engineers.

She pointed to Kuwait's chairmanship of the young engineers committee and the role of extending the committee's members to reach 32 countries, the envoy said.

For her part, Garashi thanked the ambassador for his great concern and reception of the Kuwaiti delegation.

She also expressed her gratitude to Sheikh Ali for his encouragement for the delegation to communicate with the global organizations in carrying out voluntary actions. (end) mn.hm
