Prof Harold Goodwin Emeritus Professor at Manchester Metropolitan University and Director, Responsible Tourism Partnership to the World Travel Market (WTM) has a high opinion on the growth of tourism sector of Odisha.
Participating in the 13th Lecture of Odisha Knowledge Hub Lecture series organized here, he said, “The story of tourism development in Odisha is interesting and encouraging. The State has great potentials. The State Government also recognises the need for better management of the tourism potentials.”
He said there is a need to adopt varied methods for developing tourism in different parts of Odisha on the basis of the ‘value of experience’ that the current travellers are looking for.
Prof Goodwin maintained that responsible tourism takes the responsibility of achieving sustainable and inclusive growth through tourism.
