On the occasion of Indian Constitution Day, officials and employees gathered in the morning and read the preface of Constitution at the Mantralaya here on Monday.
As per Central Government’s guidelines, November 26 being Sunday (government holiday), the Constitution Day was celebrated on November 27, an official press release informed.
Additional Chief Secretary Ajay Singh led the group recitation of preface of the Constitution.
Officials and employees of the Secretariat solemnly resolved to constitute India into a sovereign, socialist, secular, democratic republic and to secure to all its citizens: justice, social, economic and political; liberty of thought, expression, belief, faith and worship; equality of status and of opportunity; and to promote among them all fraternity assuring the dignity of the individual and the unity and integrity of the Nation.
