PUNE: A delay of more than four hours angered passengers on their way from Pune to Goa on a SpiceJet flight on Thursday afternoon.

The flight (SG516) was scheduled to take off from Pune at 12.20pm but finally arrived and took off to Goa with the passengers by 5pm, Pune airport sources said.

Shefali Vaidya, a columnist and author, tweeted, "Stuck at Pune airport since 12, a SpiceJet flight that was supposed to take off at 12.20 from Pune is yet to arrive. And the airline service is absolutely horrid."

SpiceJet did not send a reply to a mail sent by TOI. An official of the airline said, "The flight comes to Pune from Bengaluru and then goes to Goa. The flight got delayed in Bengaluru due to a technical problem. The passengers were informed and refreshments and tea was served to them," the official told TOI.

Meanwhile, another passenger took on Twitter to report about yet another SpiceJet flight delay. According to him, the flight (number-SG517) from Pune to Bengaluru was delayed for more than five hours.
