Corrie is no stranger to controversial couples.
Coronation Street spoilers have revealed that married Rana Nazir (Bhavna Limbachia) and Kate Connor (Faye Brookes) will embark on a lesbian affair after the pair get stuck in a broken down van.
And soap favourite Gemma Winter (Dolly-Rose Campbell), who is currently loved-up with Henry Newton (George Banks), looks set to be part of a majorly upsetting "pull a pig" prank.
But love is in the air amongst the Coronation Street cast once more, with Daniel Osbourne (Rob Mallard) falling for the charms of an unexpected lady.

The wannabe journo has been unlucky in love so far on the soap, after his first beau Sinead Tinker (Katie McGlynn) decided to marry rival Chesney Brown (Sam Aston).
The pair have had several near-misses since she announced her engagement to the fish and chip shop assistant, and while it looked for a while as if they may embark on a full-blown affair, Daniel has his head turned by someone else.
Corrie boss Kate Oates explained: "She's unexpected, I think people will go, 'Oh! That's a slightly crazy pairing.'
"It's one of those slightly unusual dynamics where if you think about it you can see what each of them is getting out of the relationship, but on paper you might think, 'Oh, that's a surprise.'"

She added to The Sun: "I don't want to give too much away!"
There's a long list of lovely ladies on the Corrie cobbles that could catch Daniel's eye.
With Carla Connor (Alison King) returning in the New Year, could she be the one tempted by a younger man?
Or could Gemma, heartbroken by her pull-a-pig trick, seek solace in the unlikely lothario?

Or perhaps Eva Price (Catherine Tyldesley) will fall for this charms before she leaves the soap next summer?
Kate added: "I would encourage the viewers who are wrong-footed by it in a way that they are uncomfortable with it, I’d just encourage them to think about what each character might be getting out of this little fling and it will hopefully make more sense."
Coronation Street continues tonight at 7:30pm and 8:30pm on ITV.
