Half power staff opts to go to Andhra Pradesh

The Hyderabad High Court on Thursday told Telangana state and AP governments to prepare for a hearing if they do not find an amicable solution to the distribution of employees of power utilities between themselves. A division bench comprising Justice C.V. Nagarjuna Reddy and Justice M.S.K. Jaiswal was dealing with the case of 1,200 electricity employees challenging their allocation to AP by the TS government.Earlier the bench, in an effort to give a final conclusion to the dispute, directed both governments to invite options from 1,200 employees. Mr Krishna Prakash, counsel for AP, submitted that out of 1,200 employees 596 had opted for AP and 501 for Telangana state 22 were yet to give their options.
