On Friday, a video had surfaced in which a group of police officers were seen manhandling a woman believed to be the daughter of a martyred Indian Army soldier during a BJP election rally in Narmada. Taking note of the woman's concerns, the CM was quick to order a slew of welfare measures for the family of the girl.

Rupani was replying to an earlier tweet of Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi where he had attacked the CM for the fiasco at the BJP rally.
The Congress leader, via his official Twitter handle, termed the incident as a fallout of BJP's arrogance.

"The arrogance of BJP is at its peak. 'The ultimate patriot' Rupaniji has humiliated humanity by throwing the daughter of a martyr out of the rally. Her family has not received any help for the last 15 years, all she got was hollow promises and humiliation. Have some shame, give (her) justice."
The tribal woman, identified as Rupal Tadvi (26), was known to the local police as she had been protesting for the last several years, alleging that the government did not give a piece of land promised to her family after her father Ashok Tadvi, who she claimed was martyred while serving in the BSF, a PTI report said.
When Rupani was addressing the rally, Rupal Tadvi, who was sitting in the audience, suddenly ran towards the stage, shouting, "I want to meet him..I want to meet him."

Before she could go near the chief minister, woman police officials took her away. Rupani announced from the stage that "I will meet you after this programme", but no meeting took place, officials told PTI.
The CM further criticised the Congress for its alleged role in the Adarsh Society scam — where a 31-floor apartment building in posh Mumbai locality meant to be allotted to the war widows was allotted to several politicians, bureaucrats and military officers at below market price — and its failure to implement One Rank One Pension scheme.
