19-year old killed in horrific bike accident in Ras Al Khaimah

Ras Al Khaimah: A 19-year-old Emirati man succumbed to fatal injuries he received when the motorbike he was riding hit a road barrier and turned over several times in Ras Al Khaimah.
Brigadier Hassan Ebrahim, deputy director general of the central operations room of Ras Al Khaimah Police, said that the central operations was alerted about the mishap at around 4am on Wednesday.
Police patrols and paramedics rushed to the accident site and moved the injured youth to Khalifa hospital, where he died on arrival.
An initial investigation of the crash indicated that the man lost control of his motorbike, rammed into a road barrier before hitting a lamp post and turning over several times.
"The victim sustained fatal injuries and fractures and bled excessively. The motorbike was totally damaged," he said, noting that the accident file has been referred to the concerned authorities to complete legal procedure.
Brigadier Ebrahim urged all drivers and bikers to observe speed limit and remain attentive on the road.
