American tourist accidentally falls off Mayan pyramid

An American nurse who was visiting the Xunantunich Maya ruin in Western Belize is lucky to have escape with superficial injuries after she accidentally fell from off the highest Mayan pyramid at the site.
Police report says that the woman identified as 37-year-old Courtney Howard was in the process of climbing down the temple when she lost her footing and toppled about 16 feet below.
The report details that upon police arrival at the scene which was documented at 11:00 a.m on November 30th 2017, they observed a woman lying on the ground complaining of pain to her body, as a result she was transported to a medical facility where she is undergoing treatment.
The woman had fallen from off the “El Castillo” pyramid, which is known as the highest monument at the site.
