The Delhi Police has arrested a dreaded robber Roshan Lal (25), alias Chota Rajan, alias Chela, resident of Uttam Nagar, New Delhi whose native place is in Bihar. Police recovered one pistol with a live cartridge. He was wanted in several cases of snatchings and robberies committed in Dwarka area.
With his arrest, about one dozen cases of snatchings and robberies in South-West District have been solved.
An avid movie lover, greatly inspired by the character of Kabir, portrayed by John Abraham in the hindi blockbuster Dhoom, is addicted to You Tube and watches stunt biking stars and tries to imitate them by doing such stunts on his bike.
He started committing petty offences since childhood. He is a school dropout and was arrested in an attempt to murder case in 2012 at Hari Nagar, New Delhi. In jail he came in contact with other criminals and when he was released on bail, he became more desperate and started robbing people.
On Wednesday, an input was received that a robber, in possession of an illegal weapon, would be coming to Peepal Chowk, Mohan Garden, Uttam Nagar to meet his associate at about 8 pm. A police team was formed subsequently to nab him and a trap was laid near Peepal Chowk, Mohan Garden, Uttam Nagar.
At about 7:50 pm, accused Roshan Lal alais Chota Rajan alias Chela was apprehended and and a case under Arms Act was registered at Uttam Nagar.
