GOC visits SSI

Imphal, November 30 2017: Major General U Suresh Kumar YSM, VSM GOC 57 Mtn Div and Chairman, LBA, Sainik School Imphal visited Sainik School, Imphal today .

On arrival, he was received by the school Principal Capt (IN) Vinay Tiwari.

An alumnus of Sainik School Bijapur, the General Officer reviewed the guard of honour presented by the cadets and then did the wreath laying at the Martyrs' Pillar, informed a statement issued by the PIB (DW) .

During his visit to the school, the General Officer interacted with the staff and cadets of the school.

Acknowledging his high regards for the noble profession of teaching, he urged the faculty members to continue to strive for excellence and leave no stone unturned for the intellectual development of the cadets .

The General Officer chaired the meeting of Local Board of Administration (LBA) and reviewed the administrative and academic aspects of the school.

The meeting was also attended by Dr T Meinya, MP (Lok Sabha), L Ibechoubi Devi, SRO, Education (S), Govt of Manipur, representative of DC, Imphal East, GE 869 EWS and Oinam Tiken Singh, parents' representative, it added.
