JMB militant of Sarwar-Tamim group held

Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) arrested a member of banned militant outfit Jama'atul Mujahideen Bangladesh (JMB) from Narayanganj's Rupganj on Tuesday night.
The arrestee has been identified as Hafez Maolana Ishaq, 50, a cloth trader.
Md Shakil Ahmed, additional superintendent of police and also an official of RAB-11, said the arrestee admitted to being a member of JMB's Sarwar-Tamim group.
"A team of RAB-11 raided Ishaq's house in Rupganj around 11:30pm and arrested him," the ASP said.
Rab also raided Ishaq's shop at Rupganj Bazar and recovered books on jihad and leaflets.  During primary interrogation, Ishaq admitted to giving financial support to the militants.
