My girlfriend and I were at a party recently, when a common friend of ours saw her kissing another guy and told me about it. When I asked her, she denied it completely, saying the friend was lying. I don't know whom to believe. I considered calling the guy she supposedly kissed to ask him if this happened, but that may backfire if this is a lie. I trust my girlfriend, and she has never done anything to make me doubt her, but this has begun to eat at me a lot. I don't communicate with her much anymore because I feel like she's laughing at me. If this continues for much longer, I don't know how our relationship will survive. What should I do?

If it's her word against your friend's, you really ought to figure out who you trust more. You say you don't doubt your girlfriend, and that she has never given you a reason to, yet here you are, wondering about her lying to you. If it's bothering you as much as it clearly is, step up and speak to her. If you trust her, dismiss those comments as unworthy of attention. Either way, this boils down to how you evaluate your relationship. She has denied it already, so why can't you give her the benefit of doubt and accept what she says as the truth?

Is it okay for two people who are madly in love to not have a joint bank account? My girlfriend wants one, but I'm wary of this idea. She says I don't trust her, but I'm just not ready for that sort of commitment as far as money is concerned.
It's amazing how financial matters sometimes damage the strongest relationships. They tear families apart regularly, so you're right to be wary of the idea. Being in love with someone is one thing but if you're not comfortable with something, you shouldn't do it unless you feel like it. If she's supportive, she will understand.
