Hooper passes Habana for most Test yellows

2017-11-30 10:59

Cape Town - Wallaby captain Michael Hooper recently became the most yellow-carded player in international rugby.

Hooper’s sin-binning against England at Twickenham earlier this month was his eighth yellow card in his 79-Test career.

It now sees him stand alone at the top of the unwanted "record" list.

Hooper had shared the top position with four other players on seven yellow cards, including Springbok wing Bryan Habana.

Flank Schalk Burger is the next South African offender with six yellow cards, while lock Victor Matfield has five - the same number as current All Blacks skipper, Kieran Read.
