BBC Breakfast: Naga Munchetty FREAKS OUT over co-host's 'weird' body 'People are eating'
NAGA MUNCHETTY and Charlie Stayt had a major on-screen meltdown when John Watson showed his flexible thumbs on BBC Breakfast today.
The presenters were handing over to the sports reporter, when a photograph flashed up on the screen behind them.
Displayed was a picture of Sam Allardyce, 63, and Farhad Moshiri, 62, cheerfully holding out their thumbs.
Sidetracked by the snap, Naga, 42, quickly pointed out that she thought their thumbs were rather unusual.
Cringing as she spoke, she said: “They have very bendy thumbs, like double jointed thumbs.”

While holding out his own thumbs, John replied: “Really? Maybe it’s the angle it’s been taken. I think it’s sort of the enthusiasm of what they’ve just witnessed.”
Pointing to John’s thumbs in disbelief, Naga squealed: “You’ve got bendy thumbs, oh my goodness that is…. Oh that’s weird.”
“Can you put that down, people are eating,” quipped Charlie, 55.
Appearing slightly embarrassed, the sports presenter added: “Here’s me thinking I was going to be talking about a Wayne Rooney perla and here I am discussing my thumbs.”

As he began to report on Wayne Rooney’s goal for Everton last night, Naga groaned: “Oh that thumb”.
Taking to Twitter to discuss John’s bendy thumbs, BBC Breakfast posted: “We’re all a bit freaked out by @JohnWastonSport’s overly bendy thumbs @BBCNaga wants to know if there’s a benefit to these flexi-thumbs?!”
Viewers were quick to comment on the topic of flexible thumbs. One wrote: “It’s a hitchhikers thumbs!! It’s all in your genes!,” while another added: “@BBCNaga @BBCBreakfast Bendy thumbs are class Naga.”
A third joked: “@BBCNaga @BBCBreakfast there’s definitely some kind of joke waiting to be made about Naga’s surprise at a small degree of flexibility and her Strictly performance... #itsnormaltobebendy”
