The happy couple announced their engagement earlier this week and Kensington Palace later confirmed on Tuesday that the pair would tie the knot in Windsor Castle's grand St George’s Chapel in May – however, the exact date has yet to be confirmed.

Although the ceremony itself will be attended by only family and friends, plans are in the works to “allow members of the public to feel part of the celebrations too”.

And the newly engaged couple have already received an offer from grime and hip-hop artist Stormzy to perform “a little acoustic” at the royal wedding.

The musician was photographed with Harry earlier this year at the WellChild Awards and may be hoping for an invitation to the royal wedding next spring.

Speaking after he scooped three awards at Wednesday night's Mobo Awards, Stormzy said he would not mind providing "a little acoustic for young Harry" on his big day.

Asked if he would be going he said: "If I get an invite.

"I don't know how up the priority list I'll be but hopefully after these three Mobos I'll move up a bit."

The south London musician scooped the best album prize for his debut release Gang Signs & Prayer as well as best male and best grime star at the awards show in Leeds on Wednesday night.

Stormzy's offer comes after Prince Harry was pictured leaving his gym in Chelsea for the first time since announcing his engagement to Ms Markle.

The much-anticipated announcement of Harry and Ms Markle’s engagement was confirmed by a “delighted” Prince Charles in a brief statement issued by Clarence House on Monday morning.

Harry's spokesman said the couple have chosen to marry in Windsor, west of London, because it is "a special place for them".

He added: ”The wedding will be a moment of fun and joy and reflect the characters of the bride and groom.”

An official statement from Kensington Palace said: “The marriage of His Royal Highness Prince Henry of Wales and Ms. Meghan Markle will take place at St. George’s Chapel, Windsor Castle in May, 2018.

“Her Majesty the Queen has granted permission for the wedding to take place at the Chapel

“The Royal Family will pay for the wedding.

“Further details about the wedding will be announced in due course.”

Kensington Palace also confirmed the Queen would be attending the ceremony.

Prince Harry revealed he had to have "some pretty frank conversations" with Ms Markle a few months into their relationship about how her life may change when she entered the royal family.

He added: "But I know that at the end of the day she chooses me, and I choose her, and therefore whatever we have to tackle together or individually we'll always be us together as a team, so I think she's capable... she's capable of anything.

"The fact that I fell in love with Meghan so incredibly quickly was sort of confirmation to me that everything, all the stars were aligned, everything was just perfect.

"It was this beautiful woman just sort of literally tripped and fell into my life, I fell into her life."
