Firefighters Cambridge factory fire

Waterloo regional police have arrested two young men in connection with an abandoned factory fire in Cambridge last Monday.

The fire on Sheffield Street caused extensive damage, blackened the sky over the Hespeler downtown core and left a strong odour that was noticed in kilometers away in Guelph.

Police arrested one person on Saturday while the second was arrested Tuesday. Both have been charged with one count of arson. 

Air and water quality tests were conducted at the site after word toxic substances were stored inside.
