Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal on Monday said that a survey of unauthorised colonies will be conducted in Karnal and decision to regularise such colonies would be taken on the basis of the survey report.
The Chief Minister, who was redressing the grievances of people in Janta Darbar at his constituency Karnal, said that jobs were being offered to youth on the basis of their qualifications rather than recommendations.
On the complaint regarding bad condition of Meerut road, the Chief Minister directed the officers of Public Works (Building and Road) Department to communicate with officers at headquarter level and get the needful done at the earliest.
Regarding a demand of a park made by the residents of Pritam Nagar, it was informed that No Objection Certificate (NOC) for the park is yet to be received from Irrigation Department. On this, the officer of Irrigation Department informed that NOC for this purpose would soon be issued.
On receiving several complaints pertaining to unauthorised constructions, the Chief Minister directed the officers concerned that unauthorised possessions on panchayat land and streets should not take place. If such activity takes place then officer concerned would be held responsible, he added.
Earlier, the Chief Minister inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of various developmental projects costing Rs 45.50 crore in Karnal.
Manohar Lal laid the foundation stone of rural sports stadium of village Bastali which would be set up at a cost of Rs 1.06 crore. He also laid the foundation stone of four-laning of Karnal-Kachhwa-Sambhali-Kaul Road.
The work of this road would be competed at a cost of Rs34.41 crore by the end of September 2018.
Apart from laying the foundation stone of two 33 KV sub-stations of village Butan Kheri and Bal Pabana, he also inaugurated newly installed musical fountain set up at a cost of about Rs one crore at Karantaal Park.
